Happy Friday to everyone! We had a busy day here today. We played the Wii as part of our ocean/beach themed reading month. We had a LOT of glitches to start with (and we were the grade level to start) but things worked themselves out and the kids had a blast! Not only did they love playing, they also enjoyed watching their friends play too. I stayed to help while my class went back (in case there were any more technical issues), so I was able to see all the little ones having a great time too. :-)
We had fun with art today. We made fun St. Patty's Day crafts that my cooperating teacher and I found on Pinterest which linked us to A Cupcake for the Teacher. You have to follow her blog! I absolutely love her!!!
They had a blast! After St. Patty's Day art, we went to see a local group of Irish Dancers that came to our school to dance for us in celebration of the day. You should have seen all of the kids that were inspired to dance as we left the assembly.
It was a fun day, but now I'm thankful that I can sit back, relax, and recuperate for the weekend. Well, I would if I didn't have tests to grade, math lesson plans to make, a science WebQuest to do....there's always something on the to do list, isn't there?!?!
Enjoy your weekend friends!
