Monday Lessons...

Happy Monday everyone! It started off a little rough. The alarm clock went off and I hit snooze one too many times. The nice thing is that my son can hustle through a shower and getting dressed when he has to!

Another lesson that I learned today...it's nice regularly being one of the first ones to school daily. That way I am not late when I'm running later than normal. It was a pleasant lesson to be able to share with my son, who is definitely not a morning person!

Other lessons I've learned today:

  • When nice weather arrives in March (80 degrees) the kids think we've skipped spring and jumped right into summer. This wreaks havoc on their concentration.

  • When nice weather arrives in March it makes it difficult for teachers to concentrate too (myself especially). As much as I love what I do, I can't help book look longingly out the window at the bright sunshine and warm breezes while thinking about what I wish I were doing outside!
I know that the fine spring/summer weather we're having here in Michigan is not something that everyone in the country is experiencing. Whatever your weather, I hope that you had an enjoyable day!

Are there any lessons that you learned today?

  1. Sounds like a good day despite the rough start. I start student teaching on Thursday and am so nervous. Any advice?
